The twins had their 5 month appointment last week and they continue to grow well. Zoe is now 15-1/2 lbs. and 24 inches long. Where as Bailey (or Big B as I now call him) is 19 lbs. 1 oz. and 26 inches long. We figure that at this rate, he'll outgrow his infant car seat next month. They also got a shot, but took it like brave little ones and didn't cry. Of course the Emla patch mommy put on their legs helped numb the spot so the big bad shots weren't so bad.

Zoe and Bailey have also started veggies now - they've experienced wax beans (Zoe loved, Bailey hated) and carrots (Bailey loved and Zoe hated - figures!!). And we finally bought a new high chair so that feeding them is easier...and they love their fancy chair on wheels.

And they also had their developmental screening last week (whew, it was a busy week). They were checked to see how they are doing developmentally according to their adjusted age - or the age they would have been if they were born on their due date. So even though they were over 5 months old at the time, they are only expected to be developmentally at the 4 month level or better.
According to the screening, Bailey is doing well. He's right on track for 4 months. Zoe however is a bit behind in her physical strength, so we were given exercises for her to do. I guess poor Zoe has to bulk up a bit before her next screening in December. I'm sure she'll do fine...she's just taking her own pace for everything.
